Mr. Book just finished One Summer: America 1927, by Bill Bryson.

This book was published in 2013.

This book covers so much material about 1927, such as Charles Lindbergh flying from New York to Paris, Babe Ruth hitting 60 home runs, multiple high profile murders and so much more. There are discussions of many other historical figures, such as Herbert Hoover, Calvin Coolidge, Jack Dempsey and Henry Ford.

Ruth and Lindbergh were the two who got the most attention throughout the book.

This book had everything you could want in a history book. It was excellently researched, well written, lots of interesting stories and plenty of background  information.

I give this book an A+ and inducted it into the Hall of Fame. As soon as I finished, I got the audiobook version so I could also listen to it.

Goodreads requires grades on a 1-5 star system. In my personal conversion system, an A+ equates to 5 stars. (A or A+: 5 stars, B+: 4 stars, B: 3 stars, C: 2 stars, D or F: 1 star).
